BURKE — A North Bangor man was arrested on criminal contempt charges Feb. 22.
At 7:30 p.m., an anonymous caller reported that Kevin M. Augusta, 24, was violating an order or protection, Malone-based State Police said.
Augusta was found to be in a residence at 5488 State Route 11 in the Town of Burke with the woman who was protected by the order and two children, police said.
Augusta was arrested at 8 p.m. and was charged with felony first-degree criminal contempt with a prior conviction of second-degree criminal contempt, police said.
He was arraigned in Bangor Town Court and was sent to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash or $3,000 bond.
He was due to appear in Burke Town Court Feb. 27. The status of his case was not available Tuesday.
In March 2012, Augusta was sentenced to five years probation with the first six months in County Jail after pleading guilty to third-degree burglary. The charge stems from a March 15, 2011, incident.
