TICONDEROGA — Two Ticonderoga residents were injured in a one-car accident Saturday.
At about 11:27 p.m., Derrick R. Bright, 18, was traveling at a high rate of speed through a corner, according to a Ticonderoga Police Department news release.
Bright lost control of his vehicle, which overturned, the release said.
He was transported to Moses Ludington Hospital where he was treated and released for an arm injury.
A 15-year-old female passenger was transported to Moses Ludington Hospital and then to Fletcher Allen Health Care for a head injury, the release said.
Bright was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child, misdemeanors. He was also issued traffic tickets for reckless driving, speed not reasonable and prudent, failure to keep right and child passenger not wearing a seat belt. He was released with appearance tickets to appear in Ticonderoga Town Court March 26.
No further information was available Monday night regarding the passenger’s condition.
