BURLINGTON, Vt. — The condition of a Malone woman who was injured in a car accident Friday has improved, hospital officials said.
Marlene LeRoy, 38, was transported to Fletcher Allen Health Care after a car accident and was listed in critical condition there Friday evening.
On Saturday, her condition had been improved from critical to serious, according to a nursing coordinator at the hospital.
At about 8:15 a.m. Friday, LeRoy was traveling east on Brainardsville Road/County Route 24 when she allegedly crossed into the westbound lane, Malone-based State Police said.
LeRoy’s vehicle struck a manure spreader owned by Bilow’s Farm traveling in the opposite direction, police said.
The driver of that vehicle was James Poirier, 62, of Bangor, police said.
Poirier was transported to Alice Hyde Medical Center and released later that day, according to police.
