PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was charged with felony driving while intoxicated Friday evening.
Shortly before 6:30 p.m., Nathaniel Paige, 23, was traveling south on South Catherine Street, allegedly “tailgating” the car in front of him, Plattsburgh City Police said.
Paige was pulled over by Plattsburgh City Police and failed sobriety tests, police said.
He was arrested and charged with three felonies: DWI with a prior designated offense in the past ten years, driving while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content of more than 0.08 and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Paige was also charged with following a motor vehicle too closely, an infraction.
Paige was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court and sent to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond, police said.
The date of Paige’s next court appearance was not available Saturday.
