PLATTSBURGH — A West Chazy man was arrested for allegedly driving drunk.
At about 3 a.m. on March 10, Plattsburgh City Police Officers observed a vehicle turning onto Oak Street, attempting to drive in the wrong direction down the one-way street, said City Police Lt. Scott Beebie.
Police stopped Randy Bracy, 39, near the Plattsburgh Public Library and detected the odor of alcohol, Beebie said.
Bracy’s motor function also appeared to be impaired, he said.
Bracy failed roadside sobriety tests and was taken to the City Police Station for processing where he refused to supply a breath sample, Beebie said.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated with a prior designated offense in the past ten years, a felony, and driving the wrong way on a one-way street, an infraction.
Bracy was arraigned in City Court later that day and sent to Clinton County Jail where he posted bail.
