PLATTSBURGH — A West Chazy woman was charged Sunday with grand larceny.
Jenny A. Strayer, 27, was found with more than $2,000 of merchandise as she was trying to leave Target in the Town of Plattsburgh, the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.
She was arrested at 9:08 p.m. and all the merchandise was returned to Target, the Sheriff’s Department said.
While being processed at the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, Strayer was allegedly found with a narcotic pill.
She was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
She was arraigned in Plattsburgh Town Court and sent to the Clinton County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond.
