MALONE – An Altmar man was charged for driving while intoxicated Wednesday.
Christopher D. Thurston, 32, of Altmar, N.Y., was stopped at a State Police traffic stop on State Route 11 in Malone for failing to signal a turn, police said in a press release.
Thurston was then arrested and refused to submit to a chemical test to determine his blood alcohol content, according to the release.
He was charged with felony DWI, because he had previously been convicted with DWI on another occasion. Thurston was also ticketed for refusing to take the breath test and for failing to signal a turn.
Thurston was arraigned in Town of Malone Court and remanded to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
