PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny after allegedly stealing items from the local Walmart, Plattsburgh-based State Police said.
According to police, surveillance footage shows Elijah L Viars, 18, entering the store and walking toward the electronic stations before walking out with about $631.45 worth of items including DVD’s and stereo equipment without paying for them despite employee Croteau Joseph’s request for receipt.
He was arranged in the town of Plattsburgh and sent to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $6,000 cash or $12,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 12.
