PLATTSBURGH — A West Chazy woman was injured Thursday in a two-car accident.
At about 9:36 a.m., Daniel McGovern, 19, of Plattsburgh was traveling south on Route 22 when he allegedly began to lose control of his vehicle, crossing into the northbound lane and striking the guide rails, according to a news release from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.
Heather Porter, 30, who was traveling north on Route 22, attempted to avoid a collision with McGovern’s vehicle but the two crashed into each other on the east side of the roadway after McGovern’s vehicle had hit the guide rails, the Sheriff’s Department said.
Porter was taken to CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh after she complained of knee pain, police said.
McGovern was cited for speed not reasonable and prudent.
