Hotel bust yields drugs, cash, arrests

PLATTSBURGH — Police say they seized heroin, cocaine, Alprazolam and cash at a bust made on Thursday that also resulted in the arrest of two Plattsburgh residents.

Dustin J. Manor, 21, and Genora J. Jabaut, 33, were each charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and one count of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, both felonies.

State Police had developed information that drug sales were taking place in a room at America's Best Value Inn on Booth Drive in Plattsburgh, Troop B Public Information Officer Jennifer Fleishman said in a press release.

The State Police Narcotics Enforcement Unit, with the assistance from Homeland Security Investigations, executed a search warrant, she said, that resulted in the arrests and drug seizures.

Manor was arraigned in Plattsburgh Town Court and taken to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail, $40,000 bond. Jabaut was also arraigned there and taken to jail with bail set at $7,500 cash, $15,000 bond.

Both remained jailed on Friday night.
