PLATTSBURGH — A fugitive from Washington was arrested Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear to answer to multiple charges of sex abuse.
Jean Sony Accus, 44, of Vancouver, Wash. was arrested Thursday morning by U.S. Marshals and members of the Clinton County Sherriff’s Department assigned to the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, the Sheriff’s Department said in a press release.
He is wanted by the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office in Portland, Oregon on a bench warrant for failure to appear on two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and six count of third-degree sexual abuse, according to the release.
Accus was arraigned in Champlain Town Court before Judge John A. Favreau and sent to Clinton County Jail pending extradition to Oregon.
