PLATTSBURGH — A man sustained minor injuries after being ejected from his car following a two-car accident April 15.
Shortly before 7:44 p.m., John Eldon Zehr, 32, of Morrisonville was traveling northbound on Military Turnpike near Area Development Drive in the Town of Plattsburgh when he became distracted by a rock that had struck his windshield as the vehicles were slowing in traffic, Plattsburgh-based State Police said.
While surveying his windshield for damage, Zehr struck the rear of the car in front of him, the driver of which was Brandon Warren Cook, 19, of Plattsburgh, police said.
Cook’s vehicle was pushed off the east shoulder of the roadway and Cook was ejected from the car, police said.
He had minor injuries throughout his body, police said.
Cook’s class M permit was expired, police said.
No further information was available.
