CHAMPLAIN — A Champlain man was arrested Wednesday morning for third-degree criminal mischief third, a felony, for damage of property in excess of $250 and unlawful possession of marijuana, according to Chazy State Police.
On Saturday at approximately 6:30 p.m., Matthew M. Clar, 18, allegedly ran a knife across the hood of a Chevrolet Sonic parked on the front lawn of St. Mary’s Church. The car was donated by Parker Chevrolet for a church raffle.
Clar remains in the Clinton County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash or $3,000 bond.
