---- — CHAMPLAIN — Two Altona residents were arrested Tuesday after an incident where a BB gun was allegedly fired at two people riding an ATV.
New York State Police have been investigating the alleged crime since it was reported June 2.
It is a result of an ongoing dispute, police said.
Ryan M. Phaneuf, 18, and Nicole K. Bordeau, 19, were riding together on a four-wheeler when he apparently fired a BB gun at a four-wheeler with two passengers riding on it, according to Plattsburgh-based State Police.
The two victims did not require medical attention, police said.
Phaneuf was arrested at 87 Duley Road Tuesday morning, according to a State Police blotter entry.
He was charged with two counts of assault with intent to cause physical injury with a weapon, a felony; two counts of first-degree reckless endangerment, a felony; second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor; fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor; reckless driving, a misdemeanor; and operating a motor vehicle without a license, an infraction.
Bordeau was arrested with him and charged with second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, a misdemeanor.
Phaneuf and Bordeau were arraigned in Altona Town Court.
No further information was available Wednesday.
