WEST CHAZY — Two women are facing charges for allegedly forging and cashing a local business check.
Chazy-based State Police recently arrested Casey, 22, and Katelyn Miller, 20, for their alleged involvement in the forgery scam, which was reported to authorities April 5.
Both women were arrested on charges of second-degree forgery. Katelyn Miller was additionally charged with second-degree possession of a forged instrument.
After being arraigned in Champlain Town Court, both were released from custody. They are scheduled to reappear in court April 11.
No additional information about the case was immediately available Monday.
