---- — Cases heard before County Court Judge Robert G. Main Jr.

Corey M. Hall, 31, of Tupper Lake was sentenced to six months in the County Jail and five years probation on Superior Court Information rather than a formal grand-jury indictment for fifth-degree attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance, stemming from an incident June 15.

He was originally charged with fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Hall was also ordered to pay a $2,500 fine and $100 in restitution.

A 17-year-old Moira youth who was granted youthful-offender status and not publicly identified was sentenced to six months in the County Jail and five years probation on Superior Court Information rather than a formal grand-jury indictment for two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, stemming from an incident Jan. 17, 2012.

He was originally charged with two counts of third-degree grand larceny, third-degree criminal mischief, driving while intoxicated, third-degree fleeing a police officer, reckless driving, failing to obey a police officer, failure to keep right and for being an unlicensed driver.

The youth was also ordered to pay $5,716.75 in restitution.  

Clayton Tucker Jr., 36, of Malone pleaded not guilty to a grand-jury indictment charging him with aggravated driving while intoxicated, with a child passenger under age 15, DWI, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, unlawfully dealing with a child and fourth-degree criminal mischief, stemming from an incident Jan. 3.

A conference was set for Feb. 28, and he was taken to County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 insurance bond.

Edward Logan, 25, of Akwesasne, Quebec, pleaded guilty to second-degree assault, stemming from an incident March 16.

He was sent to County Jail without bail to await sentencing on April 22.

Brent Donahue, 24, of Academy Street, Malone, was sentenced to five years probation with the first six months in County Jail for fourth-degree grand larceny, stemming from an incident Oct. 26, 2011.

He pleaded guilty to Superior Court Information rather than a formal grand-jury indictment that charged him with fourth-degree grand larceny and second-degree aggravated harassment.

Donahue was also ordered to pay $4,900 in restitution.

Kagen Smith, 21, of County Road 40, Constable, was sentenced to six months in County Jail and five years probation after pleading guilty to Superior Court Information rather than a formal grand-jury indictment for third-degree attempted burglary, stemming from an incident Feb. 20, 2012.

He was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $6,066.59.

Cody J. Woodard, 18, of Helen Street, Saranac Lake, pleaded guilt to Superior Court Information rather than a formal grand-jury indictment for third-degree burglary, stemming from an incident Sept. 24, 2012.

He was originally charged with first-degree robbery, three counts of fourth-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree conspiracy. 

Sentencing is March 11.

A 17-year-old Brasher Falls youth who was granted youthful offender status and not publicly identified was sentenced to five years probation with three weeks in County Jail starting July 1 for fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, stemming from an incident Jan. 27, 2012.

He pleaded guilty to Superior Court Information rather than a formal grand-jury indictment that charged him with fourth-degree criminal possession stolen property, criminal obstruction of breathing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

He was also ordered to pay $429 in restitution.

Shawn Simmons, 39, an inmate at Upstate Correctional Facility, was sentenced as a second-felony offender to two years in state prison consecutive to his current sentence for fifth-degree attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance, stemming from an incident April 12, 2012, at Bare Hill Correctional Facility.  

He must also serve two years of post-release supervision.

Stephen Whitley, 24, of Tupper Lake was sentenced to five years probation after pleading guilty to Superior Court Information rather than a formal grand-jury indictment fifth-degree attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance, stemming from an incident March 15.

Vickie Chapman, 46, of McCauslin Road, North Lawrence was sentenced to five years probation with the first 60 days in County Jail for felony driving while intoxicated, stemming from an incident March 31.

She was also ordered to pay a $2,000 fine.

Stephen Garrand, 52, of Malone pleaded not guilty to failure to register as a sex offender, stemming from an incident Oct. 4, 2012.

A conference was set for Feb. 28, and he was taken to County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 insurance bond.

Christopher Chambers, 24, of Tupper Lake pleaded not guilty to second-degree strangulation, first-degree unlawful imprisonment and third-degree assault, stemming from an incident Sept. 25, 2012.

A conference was set for Feb. 28.
