NORTH ELBA — A Lake Placid woman was charged with felony assault Sunday.
Amber N. Stevens, 31, was involved in a verbal domestic dispute with Bernard Winch, 37, also of Lake Placid. She then allegedly threw a coffee cup at Winch, which lacerated his ear lobe, according to Ray Brook-based State Police.
Winch was transported to Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, police said.
Stevens was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, a felony, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor, police said.
She was arraigned in Town of North Elba Court and released on her own recognizance to reappear Feb. 24.
