CHAMPLAIN — An Alburgh, Vt. woman was arrested for allegedly receiving improper unemployment benefits.
The Clinton County District Attorney’s Office reported Tia M. Perreault, 24, was arrested Jan. 6 and charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony.
The charge stems from allegations Perreault received $7,092 in unemployment benefits to which she was not entitled by not reporting her unemployment to the New York State Department of Labor.
She is represented by Attorney Edward Meyer and is scheduled to appear in Champlain Town Court on Feb. 6.
Assistant District Attorney Jason Marx has been assigned to prosecute the case.
