PLATTSBURGH — A convicted sex offender was charged July 24 with violating the sex offender registry requirements.
Robert Crouse IV, 31, of Dannemora was charged with a first offense of violating the New York State Sex Offender Registration Act.
Crouse was previously convicted of third-degree rape, a felony, Plattsburgh City Police said.
Crouse was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court and sent to Clinton County Jail.
He posted $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bail bond on July 25, according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.
