AUSABLE — One person was injured in a one-car accident June 27.
Shortly before 6:39 p.m., Andrew Kaplan, 56, was traveling southbound on Interstate 87 in the Town of AuSable when he proceeded to exit the highway via the Exit 34 off-ramp when, due to unsafe speed and wet roads, he lost control of his vehicle, said Plattsburgh-based State Police.
Kaplan’s vehicle struck the guardrail on the south shoulder and continued about 100 feet along the guardrail before coming to rest facing southeast, police said.
Kaplan told police he believes the cruise control on his car malfuctioned, police said.
