PLATTSBURGH — A Connecticut woman was arrested on a bench warrant Jan. 27.
The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department received a warrant on July 25, 2013 for the arrest of Jessica Miller, 31, of Simsbury, Conn. for a violation of the Family Court Act and later received a bench warrant from Clinton County Court in September 2013 for failure to appear in court, which violated the terms of her release, the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.
The Sheriff’s Department learned that Miller was living in Connecticut and she was taken into custody there as a fugitive from justice, the release said.
Deputies arrested her in Connecticut Jan. 27, the Sheriff’s Department said.
Miller was taken to the Clinton County Jail where she is being held without bail.
She will appear in court at a later date.
