PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was charged with criminal mischief July 4.
Plattsburgh City Police received a call from a third party who had received a call from a family member of William Deso, 27, reporting that Deso was “destroying the interior” of his mother’s home, said Plattsburgh City Police Lt. Scott Beebie.
When Officers arrived, they found Deso locked in the bathroom, Beebie said.
The damage to the home included broken windows, damaged furniture, a large hold in a door and a door off it’s hinges, he said.
Deso had also allegedly removed an air conditioning unit from a window and put it in the yard, Beebie said.
The damage totaled $3,500, he said.
Deso was arrested on Maryland Road in the City of Plattsburgh and was charged with second-degree criminal mischief, a felony.
He was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court and sent to Clinton County Jail without bail, Beebie said.
