Tupper teen faces another child porn charge

TUPPER LAKE — Tyler M. Larabie faces another child-pornography charge following an arrest on a warrant Monday evening.

The Tupper Lake Police Department said Larabie, 18, of Tupper Lake was brought to the station from Franklin County Jail at about 6:30 p.m., where he was charged with felony possession of a sexual performance of a child under the age of 16.

The latest charge stems from an investigation launched in June that turned up child pornography on Larabie’s computer.

He was initially arrested Aug. 30 after allegedly making a video recording of an 11-year-old engaged in a sexual performance and then taking part in the performance himself.

The Ray Brook-based New York State Police Computer Crimes Unit has been processing images and video from Larabie’s computer, leading to the most recent felony charge.

Tupper Lake Police said the unit is continuing to comb through the files on the computer and more charges could still be filed in the future as the case progresses.

Larabie who did not meet bail of $10,000 or $20,000 bond in August, has remained jailed.

In August, he was charged with possessing a sexual performance by a child and two counts of use of a child in a sexual performance, both felonies, and misdemeanor charges of forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child.
