PLATTSBURGH — A Chazy man was arrested Sunday on felony driving while intoxicated charges.
In the early morning, Rolla Parker Jr., 39, was driving south on Durkee Street in the City of Plattsburgh when he was stopped by police for a headlight violation, according to Plattsburgh City Police.
Police said Parker failed standardized field sobriety tests administered at the site of the traffic stop and was charged with driving while intoxicated with a prior designated offense in the past 10 years, a felony; driving while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content of more than 0.08 percent, a felony; and a headlight violation.
Parker was held at the Plattsburgh Police Department until his arraignment Sunday morning in City Court.
He was sent to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond. He posted bail on Sunday, according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.
