CROWN POINT — A Port Henry man was arrested Jan. 31 for allegedly stealing money from his employer’s business.
Arthur F. Pelkey, 35, a fuel truck operator, allegedly stole cash from his employer’s customers that was intended as payment to the business, Lewis-based State Police said.
The amount of money Pelkey stole and the name of the business was not immediately available.
The incident was reported to police Jan. 18.
Pelkey was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.
He was arraigned and sent to Essex County Jail where he later posted $1,500 cash bail, police said.
Pelkey was due to appear in court Feb. 7.
No further information was available.
