PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was charged Sunday with drunken driving and aggravated driving while intoxicated.
Wade Brooks, 54, was driving on Court Street in the City of Plattsburgh a few minutes before 1:45 a.m., when he was stopped by a police officer, Plattsburgh City Police said.
Brooks performed field sobriety tests and was charged with DWI with a prior conviction in the past 10 years and aggravated DWI, both felonies.
Brooks was ticketed for failure to keep right, failure to obey a traffic control device and failing to signal when changing lanes.
He was held until his arraignment in Plattsburgh City Court later that morning, police said.
Brooks was taken to the Clinton County Jail and released that day after posting $1,000 cash bail, according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.
