PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was charged Nov. 21 with burglary.
Ian Donovan, 19, broke into a detached garage that had been converted into a bar area and stole bottles of liquor, Plattsburgh City Police said.
The homeowners had installed a motion detector in the garage, so they were alerted to Donovan’s presence, police said.
Donovan was apprehended and charged with third-degree burglary, a felony, and possession of burglar tools, a misdemeanor.
He was arraigned and taken to the Clinton County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond, according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.
Donovan was released Dec. 4 by order of the court, the Sheriff’s Department said.
