DICKINSON — A Dickinson man was charged Nov. 8 with burglary and criminal mischief.
Tyson J. Provost, 27, unlawfully entered his ex-girlfriend’s residence in the Town of Dickinson and started a fight with the woman’s current boyfriend, Malone-based State Police said.
Provost assaulted the man and broke his ex-girlfriend’s cell phone when she tried to call 911, police said.
Then he damaged a vehicle before he left the property, police said.
A child was present during the assault, police said.
The alleged crime was reported to state police just before 7 a.m., according to a State Police blotter entry.
Provost was charged with second-degree burglary, a felony; third-degree criminal mischief, a felony; fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, and acting in a manner to injure a child younger than 17, a misdemeanor.
Provost was arraigned in Dickinson Town Court and sent to the Franklin County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
