NORTH ELBA — A Lake Placid man was injured in a one-car accident June 19.
At about 1:03 a.m., a car patrol allegedly observed a pickup truck exceeding the speed limit on Route 86. The driver, Michael J. Selkirk, 25, then turned onto Old Military Road, where the patrol found the truck off the road and in the woods, Ray Brook-based State Police said.
When the patrol stopped, Selkirk was out of the truck and by the side of the road. He complained of shoulder pain and was transported to Adirondack Medical Center at Saranac Lake, police said.
Tickets are pending blood-alcohol test results, police said.
