SARANAC LAKE — Saranac Lake police arrested James M. Watson in connection with an alleged burglary.
Watson is charged with allegedly stealing property worth over $1,000.
The arrest made at 3:40 a.m. on Tuesday charged the 28-year-old Lake Placid man with grand larceny, second-degree burglary and criminal possession of stolen property, all felony complaints.
According to police reports, Watson allegedly broke into an apartment in Saranac Lake and stole a person’s property.
Another individual involved in the alleged break-in was previously arrested.
Watson was found at his Lake Placid home address by officers from the Lake Placid Police Department and transported to Saranac Lake by State Police. The suspect was arraigned in Saranac Lake Village Court and remanded to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
Watson also faces a misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree criminal mischief in connection with the alleged theft.
