PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was charged with possession of stolen property.
On Feb. 22 at 6:35 p.m., troopers pulled over a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Justin S. Buskey, State Police said.
The troopers saw what they believed to be stolen property in the car, contacted the Plattsburgh Wal-Mart and spoke to loss prevention employees who told the trooper there was surveillance camera footage of a man leaving the store with a TV valued at $1,191; a pillow; a refrigerator valued at $150; four 30-packs of beer; a GPS; a Ninja blender and two other TVs, police said.
A Wal-Mart employee identified Buskey as the man in the tape, police said, and he was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony.
He was also ticketed for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speeding.
He was arraigned in Plattsburgh Town Court and released in accordance with a pre-trial release program, police said.
