PLATTSBURGH — A Schenectady woman was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
On Feb. 16 at about 2 a.m., Tara D. Riley, a student at Clinton Community College, sprayed another female student in the face with pepper spray when they were having a verbal argument, State Police said.
The victim was taken to CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, police said.
Riley was charged with second-degree assault, a felony, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor.
She was arraigned in Plattsburgh Town Court and was released on her own recognizance to appear in court at a later date.
