SARANAC — Three people were injured following a one-car accident where speed was a factor.
Dannemora State Police said Cameron L. Ladieu, 18, of Morrisonville was driving at a high rate of speed at about 2:53 p.m. Nov. 7 when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Bucks Corners Road and Ryan Road.
Ladieu’s tan 2000 Chevy Impala skidded off the street before striking a tree causing extensive damage to the front end of the vehicle.
Police said three passengers in the car were transported to CVPH Medical Center for treatment.
Front seat passenger Stacy L. Graham, 19, was treated for whiplash and backseat passenger Nikki L. Harden, 18, was transferred to Fletcher Allen after suffering a back injury, according to police.
Another backseat passenger, Kyle Yelle, 15, was treated for a broken nose following the accident.
Ladieu was issued tickets for failure to stop at the stop sign, traveling at an unsafe rate of speed and because not all passengers were wearing seat belts.
