MALONE — At least one person was injured in a two-car accident Tuesday.
Shortly before 11:05 a.m., a car driven by Shannon K. Wood, 28, of Saranac was stopped in traffic facing east on Route 3 near Cold Brook Road in the Town of Black Brook when Wood began backing the vehicle in a westerly direction to speak to the driver of an uninvolved vehicle, Malone-based State Police said.
Wood failed to observe a car driven Wayne R. Frederick, 26, of AuSable Forks and her car backed into Frederick’s front driver’s side bumper, police said.
No information was available on the nature of the injuries or whether any tickets had been issued.
A representative at Alice Hyde Medical Center said neither Wood or Frederick were in the hospital’s care Thursday.
