Rainbow Banquet Hall damaged by fire

Hits one wing of Altona banquet complex; spring events OK

For example, Brannoin said, the facility is moving forward with plans to host its 10th-annual Mother’s Day Buffet in the Gold Room on Sunday, May 11.

In fact, he does not expect the incident to have any effect on the Banquet Hall’s party schedule, as the only occasions planned for this month are scheduled for the White and Blue rooms, which were unaffected by the blaze.

“We’re looking really good, where it’s not going to affect any of our parties,” Brannoin said.

Thanks firefighters

In addition to Brunell, he noted, the Sample family wished to thank the fire crews for working so quickly to extinguish the flames.

Providing on-scene assistance or standby coverage were firefighters from Champlain, Rouses Point, Chazy, Beekmantown, Ellenburg Depot, Ellenburg Center, District 3, West Chazy, Cumberland Head, Hemmingford and South Plattsburgh fire departments.

Clinton County Office of Emergency Services Deputy Fire Coordinators also responded to assist at the scene and determine the blaze’s cause and origin, which were still under investigation Sunday afternoon, according to Day.

Brannoin added that the Sample family was very appreciative of the outpouring of support they had received via the Banquet Hall’s Facebook page.
