HOGANSBURG — A Hogansburg woman was charged with drunken driving Dec. 23.
At 12:05 p.m., Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police stopped a vehicle that was driving on McGee Road in Hogansburg, according to a news release from the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe.
Wanita M. Swamp-Francis, 48, was charged with driving while intoxicated with a previous DWI conviction in the past 10 years, a felony, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony, and operating a motor vehicle with an unlicensed driver, according to the release.
Police allege Swamp-Francis’s blood-alcohol content was 0.18 percent, police said.
She was arraigned in Bombay Town Court and was sent to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $500 cash or $1,000 bond.
She is scheduled to reappear in court Jan. 21.
