PLATTSBURGH — A woman was arrested for grand larceny following an attempt to steal from Wal-Mart, according to State Police.
Jill E. Rabideau-Velie, 28, of Dannemora was arrested at 8:12 p.m. Friday in the Town of Plattsburgh, police said.
According to State Police, she had been trying to leave Wal-Mart without paying for items, and when she was stopped at the door, she dropped the items and fled. The items were recovered.
Rabideau-Velie was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, indicating that the items were worth over $1,000, said State Police. They added that she was issued an appearance ticket for Dec. 19 in Town of Plattsburgh Court.
