SARANAC LAKE — A Saranac Lake man faces multiple felony charges, including intimidating a witness.
According to a news release from Saranac Lake Village Police, Patrick A. St. John, 23, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Saturday following an investigation into a complaint alleging St. John entered a local home and threatened the resident with a baseball bat.
He allegedly attempted to strike the individual with the bat, the report noted, and caused damage to both a door and a door frame.
In addition, St. John is accused of threatening to cause the homeowner physical injury if that individual provided the police with information regarding another case.
He was charged with first-degree burglary, a class B felony; second-degree attempted assault, a class E felony; and third-degree intimidating a witness, also a class E felony.
St. John also faces three class A misdemeanor charges: second-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
He was arraigned in Village Court and remanded to Essex County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.
