BEEKMANTOWN — Two Beekmantown teenagers were arrested after allegedly throwing rocks at moving vehicles, according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office.
Brandon W. Provost, 16, and Christopher K. Mills, 16, were charged with second-degree criminal mischief, a felony, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
On Oct. 5 at about 8:55 p.m., Clinton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a complaint in the Town of Beekmantown that rocks were being thrown at moving vehicles. An investigation led them to a nearby residence where they found and interviewed Provost and Mills, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The damage to the vehicles was later determined to be in excess of $2,000, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
Provost and Mills were arrested at 5:30 p.m. Friday and arraigned in Town Court before Judge Lawliss.
They were given pre-trial release and are scheduled to reappear in court at 6 p.m. Oct. 23.
