PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was arrested for felony grand larceny and burglary Sept. 12.
Lonnie Furnia, 24, allegedly gained entry to a residence on Oak Street through a side window, stealing $260, car keys, and subsequently the vehicle from the driveway, Plattsburgh City police said.
The car was found by a patrol officer a few days later in a parking lot on Weed Street. Video footage of Furnia ditching the car led to his arrest, police said.
He was also found to be in possession of a stolen electronic device that was taken from another vehicle, police said.
Furnia was charged with grand larceny in the third degree and burglary in the second degree, both felonies. He was also charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
He was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court and was to reappear in court at a later date.
