PLATTSBURGH — A Dannemora man led police on a brief car chase in the City of Plattsburgh early Sunday morning, authorities said, and, after he pulled over, had to be subdued with a Taser.
Jason F. Broomall, 31, was driving a Nissan with Pennsylvania plates when he was spotted in the city parking lot on Durkee Street.
Broomall was to be pulled over for a traffic violation, but refused to stop, City Police said.
He finally pulled over at the intersection of Cornelia and Wells street, where he was charged with speeding, passing through a red light, failing to stop at two stop signs, DWI, reckless driving, unlawful fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle, reckless endangerment to the first degree, resisting arrest and felony DWI.
Because of the Taser shot, he was taken to CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
He was held at the Clinton County jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
