PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was arrested Friday on felony terroristic threat charges.
Jaime Lugo, 35, was allegedly talking to a case worker on a phone in the Clinton County Department of Social Services at 13 Durkee St. in Plattsburgh, said Plattsburgh City Police Chief Desmond Racicot.
Lugo was allegedly dissatisfied with the information he was receiving and allegedly yelled that at about 9:45 a.m. that he was going to get a gun, come back and shoot, Racicot said.
People in the lobby of the building heard Lugo’s alleged threat and were concerned for their safety and the safety of others, Racicot said.
Lugo left the building, police obtained a his description and searched the area, Racicot said.
City Police later arrested him at shortly before 2 p.m. after receiving a call from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department informing them that Lugo was in their lobby, Racicot said.
Lugo was charged with making a terroristic threat, a felony, and was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court.
As of Tuesday, he was incarcerated in the Clinton County Jail, according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.
