PLATTSBURGH — Three people were charged with possession of cocaine Thursday.
On Route 3 in the Town of Plattsburgh, State Police stopped a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt and found the occupants of the vehicle to be in possession of about three ounces of cocaine, State Police said in a news release.
Chantel M. Courson, 22, and Lorraine E. Emmons, 23, both of Massena, and Paul C. Williams, 30, of Brooklyn were each charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony.
Williams was additionally charged with second-degree criminal impersonation for initially providing State Police with false identification, police said.
Courson, who was driving the sedan, was issued a traffic ticket for failing to signal for a lane change, police said.
Courson, Williams and Emmons were arraigned in Plattsburgh Town Court and were sent to the Clinton County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail or $40,000 bond for each of them.
