NORTH ELBA — A Lake Placid man was charged with three counts of felony criminal mischief Friday.
At 7:56 p.m., Dylan D. Brown, 17, was allegedly throwing rocks and soda cans onto the roadway on State Route 73 with a group of youths, Ray Brook-based State Police said.
Several passers-by reported damage to their vehicles, police said.
Brown was located near Saint Agnes Cemetery and was placed under arrest. He was charged with three counts of criminal mischief in the third degree, felonies; criminal mischief in the fourth degree, a misdemeanor; and reckless endangerment of property, a misdemeanor, police said.
He was remanded to Essex County Jail in lieu of $3,000 cash or $7,000 bond. He is to reappear for a felony hearing at 4 p.m. Aug. 21 in the Town of North Elba Court, police said.
