PLATTSBURGH— Two local men were charged with drug possession early Saturday morning.
A few minutes before 12:53 a.m., troopers pulled over a vehicle driven by Gabriel C. Laramie, 35, of Chazy, and found cocaine and marijuana in plain view, State Police said.
Laramie and his passenger, Gregory A. Zindler, 27, of Plattsburgh, were both charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
Laramie was further charged with resisting arrest, a misdemeanor; third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor; second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor; failure to signal, a violation; and a windshield-tint violation.
The two men were arraigned at Plattsburgh City Court and were sent to Clinton County Jail. Zindler is being held in lieu of $3,000 cash or $6,000 bond. Laramie is being held without bail.
They are scheduled to reappear in court April 9.
