AUSABLE — A Keeseville man was charged May 28 with burglary and possession of stolen property.
A woman told police that her neighbors told her that a man was seen leaving her residence, Malone-based State Police said.
The woman then found the man, who police identified as Jeffrey R. Abare, 42, walking on AuSable Street with her property, which included a bag, a pair of boots and some other personal items, police said.
The woman confronted Abare and took her property from him and later followed him to his residence, police said.
Abare was arrested at 1732 Front St. in the Village of Keeseville, according to a State Police blotter entry.
He was charged with second-degree burglary, a felony, and two counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a misdemeanor.
He was arraigned in AuSable Town Court and sent to Clinton County Jail without bail.
