MALONE — A Malone man was arrested Sunday morning and charged with robbery.
According to a news release from the Village of Malone Police Department, Thomas G. Nelson, 21, allegedly entered the Maplefield’s Store on East Main Street in Malone at approximately 1:57 a.m. and used a knife to take about $200 while the cashier had the register open.
Police found Nelson attempting to hide in a village apartment complex approximately three hours later. Nelson was charged with first-degree robbery, a felony.
He was arraigned in Malone Town Court and remanded to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.
