CHATEAUGAY — A Connecticut woman was injured in a one-car accident May 14.
Shortly before 4:46 p.m., Karen A. Godin, 52, of Glastonbury, Conn., was driving a truck towing a trailer west on State Route 190 near Cooper Road when she failed to negotiate a left curve in the roadway, Malone-based State Police said.
Godin’s vehicle exited the north shoulder and struck a sign, continuing on to strike a guardrail, police said.
Then the vehicle struck a hedge and the trailer detached and overturned, coming to rest upright, police said.
The truck continued and exited the south shoulder of the road, coming to rest in a ditch on the south side of Cooper Road, police said.
Godin complained of chest pain and was taken by Chateaugay Rescue to Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone for treatment, police said.
Godin was ticketed for moving from a lane unsafely.
