PLATTSBURGH — A Brushton man was charged with felony insurance fraud Monday.
The charges against Robert Jock, 43, stemmed from an investigation by the New York State Insurance Fund in conjunction with the Clinton County District Attorney’s Office, according to a Clinton County District Attorney’s Office press release.
Jock allegedly received $4,375.42 in worker’s compensation benefits he was not entitled to after continuing to work without reporting it to his employer or insurance carrier.
He was charged with worker’s compensation fraudulent practices, a class E felony.
Jock was released under the supervision of the Clinton County Probation Department and is scheduled to return to Plattsburgh City Court Oct. 27.
