Police Log: Nov. 12, 2012 — Felony arrest

PLATTSBURGH — City police arrested Patrick P. Jasiewicz, 42, of Plattsburgh, early Sunday morning on charges of criminal possession of a weapon third degree, a felony, and menacing second degree, a misdemeanor. Police report that Jasiewicz attempted to break into a neighbor’s apartment on Sailly Avenue shortly after 1 a.m. while armed with a kitchen knife. Police say that several occupants of the apartment braced their bodies against their door to keep Jasiewicz from forcing his way into the apartment. Jasiewicz fled before city police arrived, but was arrested a short time later. He was arraigned in city court Sunday morning, and was committed to the Clinton County Jail on no bail. He will re-appear in City Court at a later date.
